1998年,獲中山大(da)學(xue)(xue)高(gao)分(fen)子(zi)(zi)研究(jiu)(jiu)所博士研究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)學(xue)(xue)位;現(xian)任中山大(da)學(xue)(xue)海(hai)(hai)洋(yang)(yang)學(xue)(xue)院(yuan)教授(shou),博士研究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)導師,海(hai)(hai)洋(yang)(yang)微生(sheng)物(wu)功能分(fen)子(zi)(zi)廣(guang)東(dong)省高(gao)校重(zhong)點實驗室副主任。2003-2004年美國(guo)弗吉尼(ni)亞(ya)大(da)學(xue)(xue)訪問學(xue)(xue)者。研究(jiu)(jiu)方向主要(yao)為海(hai)(hai)洋(yang)(yang)天(tian)然產物(wu)的發現(xian)及應用(yong)。先后主持和承擔了863計劃項(xiang)(xiang)目,國(guo)家(jia)自(zi)然科學(xue)(xue)基(ji)金,國(guo)家(jia)海(hai)(hai)洋(yang)(yang)公益性行(xing)業專(zhuan)項(xiang)(xiang)等10余項(xiang)(xiang)課題(ti)。在Tetrahedron、Organic Letter、J. Chromatogr、Planta Medica.、Mar. Drugs等雜(za)志發表論文60余篇,獲授(shou)權專(zhuan)利(li)發明10余項(xiang)(xiang)。
